Hoagie Taste Test RESULTS
So me and a few friends ate some hoagies from 5 places in and around south philly. On the list: Chickie’s, Cosmi’s, Sarcone’s, R&M Deli, and stupid Wawa.
The results are in and it looks like Cosmi’s came in as a favorite among all our testers. Its blend of meat, cheese, and the roll was what made it a favorite. The texture of the bread was hard to repeat on the other hoagies.
Second place was a toss between Sarcone’s hoagie and R&M’s offering. Me and Dom pickd R&M while Luke, Ashley, and Alex picked Sarcone’s. Both had similar builds but R&M’s had less meat than what the testers were looking for.
In 4th place was the offering from Chickie’s. The construction was very disappointing to all of us and was hard to eat after one or two bites. The other thing was the quality of the meat, it had no character and seemed dull and without the spice or character as the other hoagies.
Finally the Wawa hoagie which was nothing compared to the 4 other hoagies. Yes, it wasn’t bad but the quality compared wasn’t that good. Luke said the bread seemed pasty, and Dom was quoted as saying it was like a donut without any flavor.
This concludes the hoagie taste test and keep reading as we come up with more ideas for next month’s taste testing

For Chickie’s to come in 4th, these others must be amazing. I will try them for sure.

I’ll be trying out ur “contestants” soon. Sounds like a great way to spend a sat.. chillin with friends.
Ya might want to try another spot if you are willing to take teh hike. It’s on the corners of Erie, Germantown Ave and Broad St. It a spot called. MAXX’s Yes. Not joking.
I think they have the BEST cheese steaks and Hoagies. They had this sauce they put on top and it just MAKES the sandwich!!! SLOW AS @#$@# though..:(
Maybe Steaks can be ur next contest. Let me know and I’ll grab a Huge (2x the size of regular steaks) from maxx’s to add to the challenge.

Next time you come to visit, bring a few hoagies from Cosmi’s with you! Don’t forget the cannollis! If you do a cannolli taste test, count me in!
